In the last few weeks, health care has become a HUGE hot-button issue. The absolute and outright lies coming from demonstrators have grown immensely in numbers.
This has been followed up by violence and death threats to liberal politicians. I spoke to a friend about a month ago about the protests when they started and I predicted the violence would follow. As my second year of teaching approaches, I’ve spent this whole summer reviewing my first year and my successes and failures. I have thought about all the pedagogical triumphs and all the poor management decisions I made last year. For better or for worse, I have a year under my belt. I have cherished my first year in my chosen career and I look forward to the next 20 to 30 years of passion for my life as an educator.
